Tithe Survey of Butt Lane - 1837
The Tithe survey was initiated by the Act for the Commutation of Tithes in 1836. Under the Act a Tithe Commission was set up to oversee the commutation and survey. The survey was carried out in Butt Lane during 1837 and the original records are available for viewing at the record office in Lichfield, Staffordshire.
